General planning

On this page you will find the general planning for using Numworx.

At least 6 weeks before exam date.

Home exam: Teacher e-mails the following exam details to Digital Assessment (digitaletoetsing@uu.nl); or
Chromebook exam: Teacher reserves a UU exam location with Chromebooks through faculty scheduler and e-mails the following exam details to Digital Assessment:

  • Academic year, semester/period, course name and code;
  • Name(s) of the teacher and (student)assistant if applicable;
  • Test date(s) and time period (note: possible to set up time period per class);
  • Type of exam(s): summative or formative;
  • If applicable: Excel-sheet with student names/ID’s that are entitled to extra time.

Educate-it key-user makes arrangements with the teacher about the planning and degree of support

Key-user imports the course, exams, teachers and/or students and links modules to the class/course groups (teacher is linked to a course folder and class through the import).

Around 4 weeks before exam date.

The teacher creates a new activity (assignment or (practice) exam) in their personal folder in Numworx Author, and fills it with items (pages with questions). A new module (course component) can also be created that accommodates activities.

The teacher or key-user copies and transfers an newly created or edited activity to the desired module, using Numworx Author.
Attention!: this is only possible after a successful Osiris import.

Around 2-3 weeks before exam date.

The teacher, using the Webapp, chooses a period in which the module/activity becomes available and chooses other availability settings (e.g. password and/or need for UU exam location). After these steps are taken, students are able to work on the digital assignments or (practice) exam.

After exam date.

The teacher can easily view students’ work and results in the Webapp.

  • Attention! A module becomes visible immediately as soon as a module is linked to a course group/class (unless the time slot starts at a later moment).
